The NeFCA Educational Network organized its first panel at the Etmaal Communication Science 2019. The Educational Network intends to realize an exchange of ideas on educational matters that are relevant for those who manage and teach communication science degree programs at both Bachelor’s, Master’s, Research Master’s, and postgraduate levels. The well-attended panel with presenters from the RU Nijmegen, VU Amsterdam and University of Amsterdam discussed a variety of timely issues in our communication sciences programs:  Blended and online learning, internships and outlook on the professional field, and Autonomy Supportive Learning for motivating students. A brief consultation with the panel’s audience resulted in ideas for the Educational Network’s future activities, such as meetings on best practices (and failures) about teaching of new fields within communication science, the international classroom, student engagement and more.
