On June 28th 2023, the Political Communication division organized a networking event and lecture with Stuart Soroka (https://www.snsoroka.com/) at the University of Antwerp. Soroka is a Professor in the Departments of Communication and Political Science at the University of California, Los Angeles. His research focuses on political communication, political psychology, and the relationships between public policy, public opinion, and mass media.
Stuart Soroka gave a talk about “Coevolution and Communication at the yearly conference of the Comparative Agendas Project (see https://www.comparativeagendas.net/lecture). Before the talk, the Political Communication division organized a networking event where junior members of the division were matched with seniors present at the event to discuss their PhD projects. This was a good opportunity for students to meet with important scholars in the field of Political Communication. The fruitful afternoon ended with a great reception.
