On Thursday 8th February 2024, the media psychology division organized an ‘Early Career Mentorship Session’ at the Etmaal conference (Rotterdam). The goal of this session was to facilitate meaningful connections between young scholars (MA and PhD students) and more advanced researchers.
During this session, a total of 15 young scholars were paired up with senior scholars based on the topic or method. Some of the mentors were Prof. Kathleen Beullens (KU Leuven), Prof. Desirée Schmuck (U Vienna), Prof. Kathrin Karsay (U Vienna), Prof. Esther Rozendaal (Erasmus U), Prof. Hanneke Hendriks (Radboud U) and Prof. Eva van Reijmersdal (U Amsterdam). They provided feedback on the young scholars’ ongoing work, answered questions on methodological issues and challenges, and provided career-related advice.
