This year, four NeFCA scholars received an ERC starting grant. The ERC starting grant is designed for talented early-career scientist to help them build their own teams and conduct pioneering research. The grants are part of the EU’s Research and Innovation programme, Horizon 2020. The ERC starting grant provides grants for up to 1.5 million euros, for projects of up to 5 years.
